There are magnificent resources available on the web that enable evolution to be the most exciting section to teach in the Life Science curriculum.
Two of the best are Understanding Evolution for Teachers and Becoming Human and these sites make an excellent introduction to understanding evolution.
The linked document, Life Sciences Evolution Curriculum, is taken from the curriculum guidelines and shows what needs to be taught in each grade. The TBP workshops will allow you to develop teaching and assessment resources in line with the National FET curriculum and you will be given a dvd of the resources developed by teachers at the end of the conference.
Resources for Gr 10 and 12 are linked and are available to teachers who have atttended a TBP Evolutionary Biology workshop.Gr 11 resources will be linked early in 2010.
